The Little Wellness Arts Center Remembers Jonathan Winters by Raymond Tyler

November 11, 1925 – April 11, 2013

In 1960 the world of entertainment welcomed one of its brightest, most creative and influential stars in the person of Jonathan Winters.

I was a big fan of the way Winters could take a wallet, a hammer, a note book or here a pen and pencil set and create comedy right out of his wonderful mind.

I don't know that I have ever seen anyone with a remarkable and sharp sense of the absurd.

I myself still practice by picking up objects and trying to be funny. It's not as easy as one would think.

My favorite Winters performance was in the classic episode of The Twilight Zone called A Game Of Pool co starring the brilliant Jack Klugman.

Winters as Fats Brown plays his role straight, dramatic and pitch perfect as the ghost of the world's greatest pool players sent to test the skills and will of Klugman's Jessie Carter.

This is a must see for any sci-fan or fan of dramatic acting.

Here Robin Winters and Robin Williams discuss improv.

Winters was just an amazing talent that we will never see again.
